Chairmont’s expertise is recognised through its expert witness reporting. Our ability to straddle financial markets and regulations is well recognised across the energy industry and academia. Critical advice has been provided to Australian Energy Regulator (AER) and Economic regulation Authority of Western Australia (WA) on the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), where the allowance for the Cost of Debt is a key input into energy price determinations.

 

Due to confidentiality the naming of clients and matters is not allowed; however the work has played an important role in determining outcomes.
